ow Ash Primary School's successful transition from a ‘Requires Improvement’ school in 2014 to a strong ‘Good’ school in 2016 has been achieved through the simple vision - teach well, so children enjoy and excel. With a clarity of focus on improving teaching and learning through a self-improving school model, with bespoke and effective CPD from within, Low Ash has secured its position as a leading Bradford school which regularly supports other local schools and teachers.

As a school with a higher deprivation factor than the national average, we are very proud that our 2017 progress scores put Low Ash in the top 20% of schools in England for reading, writing and maths. For 2018, our maths progress score was in the top 22%, with writing progress in the top 10% of schools in England. Also, at the end of Key Stage 2 our combined attainment score for reading, writing and maths combined has been well above the national figure for both 2017 and 2018.

ecause of our solid and substantial base of expertise across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, we are able to help schools build the capacity to improve and instil confidence in teachers and leaders by imparting knowledge and teaching strategies which work.

As one of the twelve school in Yorkshire and Humber to be approached to be included in the Parliamentary Review (Primary Education) 2018, we are proud that our vision of ‘teach well so children enjoy and excel’ has been so successful.
